In anticipation of Disney’s soon-to-be released film, Oz the Great and Powerful, the studio has teamed up with HSN and IMAX Corporation to launch a cross-country balloon tour which is certain to continue to build excitement surrounding the film. The giant, colorful hot air balloon started its journey earlier this week, debuting initially at the El Capitan Theatre in Hollywood for the film’s red carpet premiere.
Fans can see the balloon in one of the following cities:
“Oz The Great and Powerful” premiere at the El Capitan Theatre in Hollywood (February 13)- Disneyland Resort in Anaheim, Calif. (February 17)
- Daytona International Speedway in Daytona Beach, Fla. (February 20)
- Central Park in New York City (March 5 & 6)
If you don’t happen to live near one of the tour stops, you can visit Oz the Great and Powerful on Facebook. Their Journey to Oz Balloon Tour app goes live today and fans who visit will have an opportunity to unlock screenings in cities across the country. Be sure to vote by tweeting with the hashtag for your city (i.e. #DisneyOzSeattle) or sharing your vote on Facebook.
