One million.
That is the number of chimpanzees living in places like the Tai Forest off the Ivory Coast of Africa. Today, only one fifth of that number remain. Without intervention, this fascinating species could become extinct in certain parts of the world over the next two decades.
Last week, I had the privilege of attending the red carpet premiere of Disneynature Chimpanzee in Orlando, Florida. Much like the premieres here in Los Angeles, this one was casual but classy. Check out some of the talent spotted on the red carpet!
This Friday, Disneynature Chimpanzee will be released in theaters nationwide. With Earth Day rapidly approaching, the film is a great way for families to make a difference. When you see the film during opening week, a donation will be made to the Jane Goodall Institute to help protect chimpanzees.
Stay tuned for my review and some exclusive interviews with Dr. Jane Goodall, the filmmakers, and The McClain Sisters.

This was such a beautiful – and powerful movie. The part that got me the most was the fact that there is no food left for the animals. I worry about that happening for future generations of humans too.
