Disney Vitamins Expands to Include Sugar-Free, Fiber, and Omega-3 Options For Kids

There are varying thoughts on whether or not children need or should be taking vitamins and supplements.  When my son was diagnosed with food allergies around his second birthday, we were required to eliminate a number of foods, which made it a challenge to adequately support his growth and development.  Under the advice of our physician, we began a regime of vitamins and supplements which we still continue today with both of our children.

Disney Vitamins

We have never had a problem getting our children to take their vitamins because we have always taken a positive, fun approach. So when a package of Disney Vitamins showed up on our doorstep, I had two very excited kiddos who couldn’t wait until it was time to take them.  Available in Cars, Monsters University, Disney Princess, Disney Fairies, Marvel Avengers, and Mickey Mouse, Disney Vitamins, now available at Walmart, are a fun, engaging way to get children to take their vitamins.  Gone are the days of chalky, hard-t0-chew vitamins. These gummies are soft, chewable, and pleasant on the palate.  Fortunately, they come stored in a child-proof container that I don’t think my children can get into***.

At present, you’ll find Disney Vitamins available in Multivitamin, Fiber, and Omega-3 plus Vitamin D3 varieties.  I’d love to see a Calcium/Vitamin D variety since my children take this type of supplement daily as a result of a dairy allergy.  Additionally, parents can opt for a new Sugar Free Multivitamin which would be my preferred option for our kids.

The multivitamins contain more than 10 essential vitamins and minerals including Vitamin A which is good for eye health, C & D which can support the immune system, and a B complex for energy metabolism. I worry about my children getting too many vitamins (a real concern in today’s society of mega-vitamins) so I appreciate that these vitamins don’t provide more than the RDA (Recommended Dietary Allowance).

With the Back-To-School Season just around the corner, now is a great time to boost children’s immune system and get them off to a healthy start for the new school year.

A one-month supply of Disney Vitamins is around $4 which is very affordable for children’s vitamins.  You can find Disney Vitamins at your local Walmart or online at Walmart.com.

**While I trust that the childproof container is well-designed to prevent children from opening and consuming more than they should, I still recommend storing vitamins and other medications in a locked cabinet, out of children’s reach.
