Last year around this time, someone told me about Day Out With Thomas…which was sold out by the time I could check it out on the website. This year…I’m taking my son (who absolutely adores trains)!
This year, Thomas is celebrating his 65th Birthday and chugging into a station near you. Day Out With Thomas: The Celebration Tour 2010 invites families out to spend the day with Thomas. This is the 15th year of the tour, which makes stops in 45 U.S./Canadian cities. Your children will enjoy storytelling, live music, building with Mega Bloks, a 25 minute ride with Thomas, and pictures with Sir Topham Hatt. Because the event is held in varied railroad stations throughout the country, each experience is unique and can include petting zoos, miniature golf, bounce houses, face painting, and magic shows.
Each railroad location hosting a Day Out With Thomas will include Thomas-themed activities including stamps, Island of Sodor temporary tatoos, hands-on art and crafts, Thomas storytelling, and a video viewing area. Because this year is the celebration tour, children can make a birthday card for Thomas.
If you live in the Los Angeles, Orange County, Ventura County, or San Diego county areas, be sure to check out Thomas’ stop at the Fillmore & Western Railway.

Wow, our little boy loves Thomas and does not believe that he is real and coming so near to where we live. He would love to ride on Thomas. Visiting the site we learned there are lots of Thomas themed activities, stickers and so much more.
