If you’re SoCal centric and looking for something fun to do with the kids this weekend, check out Day Out With Thomas: Leader of the Track Tour at the Fillmore & Western Railway Co. Thomas the Tank Engine has been stopping in cities all across the country for the last 16 years in this annual children’s event, which is here in Southern California through the end of the weekend.
A Day Out With Thomas includes 25-minute ride with Thomas the Tank Engine, an opportunity to meet Sir Topham Hatt, family-friendly activities such as arts and crafts, storytelling, live music, and bounce houses, a hay maze, Thor’s Reptile Family, Put N Go children’s golfing, and visits to the Railroad Historical Museum. Tickets for adults and children over the age of 2 are $18.
We took our little boy last year and he had a wonderful time. I didn’t expect that we would stay the entire day but there was a ton of activities to keep us all entertained. The 15-ton replica of Thomas the Tank Engine looks authentic and from experience, the kids get very excited about riding on Thomas the Tank Engine.
Day Out With Thomas is held at Central Park in Fillmore this weekend and rides are timed from 9:50 am to 2:40 pm. Tickets can be purchased by calling Ticketweb toll-free at 866.468.7639
