Do you have a Daniel Tiger fan? Through Spring of 2018, Daniel Tiger “Live” is touring the US including five performances in California. The #1 PBS Kids TV series is coming to the stage for a tiger-ific musical specifically for tots and their parents.
Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood
Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood was created and hosted by Fred Rogers and based on the Neighborhood of Make-Believe from Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood. I grew up watching Mister Rogers, so the show evokes memories of my family and I watching the show asa child.
The show is geared towards preschool-aged children and is centered around Daniel Tiger. There are two short segments in the show which address everything from sadness and disappointment to being thankful and showing respect. Music is also tied into the show’s themes to reinforce the life lessons present. Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood follows a curriculum based on Fred Rogers’ teaching and research into child development.
Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood Live: King for a Day!
The live musical is now in its third year of touring and features all of your favorite characters from the hit TV series. Daniel and his friends invite you to their Neighborhood of Make-Believe where Daniel learns what it takes to be a King. I Love the Way Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood teaches children real life lessons and that my daughter loves watching it.
I love Daniel Tiger’s relatable lessons in socialization and manners for my girls. We sing “when you feel so mad” and “when you have to go potty, stop and go right away…” The songs are gentle reminders for my kiddos and they’re catchy, cute and fun. It’s just great TV programming!
I love the messages Daniel teaches. My daughter loves this show!
I love that so many of the lessons incorporate music. My kids learn so much more that way. I even have an app on my phone with the songs for those emergent moments when my kids need a reminder to calm there emotions.
