I don’t think I’ve ever seen the Anaheim Convention Center so quiet…so still. Tonight, I had the rare opportunity to preview and photograph the Treasures of the Walt Disney Archives and the Carousel of Projects. Tomorrow, when D23 Expo opens to the public, it will be filled with adults and children who have at least one thing in common…their love for all-things Disney.
This year, they’ve doubled the size of the Treasures of the Walt Disney Archives, which features imagery, costumes, props, and more from Disney’s films, television shows, and characters. I was there, in that space, admiring each piece until it closed for the evening. Here are just a few photos I captured…
The Carousel of Projects, brought to you by Walt Disney Parks and Resorts, draws inspiration from an attraction that debuted at the 1964 New York World’s Fair and features an advanced preview of concepts, designs, models, and storytelling tools/technologies that are currently in development at Walt Disney Imagineering for Disney parks around the world. I absolutely loved this presentation and walk-through pavilion and this year definitely did not disappoint…
I’ll be at D23 Expo all weekend long and if you want the latest, just check out their website and follow the hashtags #D23 #D23 Expo.
No compensation was received for this post. I was invited to a media reception to preview the expo.
