CVS/pharmacy’s ExtraCare Program Offers Easy, Personalized Ways to Save Money *Giveaway*

Coupons…circulars…rewards cards…  Every store that I shop at has a program in place designed to help its customers save money. Some of those programs are easier to use and realize savings than others.  When we first moved out of LA nearly six years ago, we transferred all of our prescriptions to CVS/pharmacy, since it was close and easily accessible.  Along with the convenience of having a pharmacy just 5 minutes from our home, an unexpected benefit of shopping at the pharmacy was the rewards we received through the ExtraCare program.

What is the ExtraCare Program?

ExtraCare is a free savings and rewards program introduced by CVS/pharmacy 15 years ago.  The program works to benefit its customers, offering value nearly every time they shop.

How are rewards earned? 

Once enrolled, you’ll start earning personalized savings and ExtraBucks Rewards that can be spent on most items in the store.

How do I receive savings and rewards tailored to my shopping needs?

Enroll in programs such as the ExtraCare Beauty Club, ExtraCare Pharmacy & Health Rewards or ExtraCare Advantage for Diabetes so that the rewards are specific to your needs.

During Mom 2.0 Summit, CVS/pharmacy hosted an ExtraCare Cocktail Party and showed attendees how easy it is to save money with the program. I was very familiar with the program beforehand, but I came away with a better sense of how the special programs work. We fill all of our family’s prescriptions at the pharmacy and I absolutely love Nuance by Salma Hayek, so it makes sense for me to enroll in the Beauty Club and Pharmacy/Health Rewards programs.

  1. I love to have the extra bucks especially when I have other coupons and it just makes the shopping that much better. I feel like I have saved that much more. Recently my husband went into CVS for some items and he bought before hand about 20 dollars worth of stuff and walked out after the extracare dollars and the coupons and specials about 4 dollars .

  62. Yes, I’m enrollend in CVS/pharmacy’s ExtraCare Program. CVS is the number one pharmacy for me. I love to use coupons and they always offer great sales that earned me Extrabucks and love how their employees are very nice and friendly. My favorite way to spend ExtraBucks is usually to get things that we really need like diapers for my girl, toothpaste, shampoo and stuff like that. I love shopping at CVS and I’m there almost every week!

  121. My fav way to use ExtraBucks are to be fully prepared! I check out the flyer in advance, print out all my coupons, and combine any savings I can and then run to CVS! I’m always so excited to see the receipt of how much I saved!!!!

  179. I love the ExtraCare program! I’ve been a member since the beginning and love the added bonus of saving money above and beyond the usual coupons (sales/ExtraBucks/etc). I love how easy it is to save money on the products I already buy/use.

    Newer to it so I haven’t used any ExtraBucks yet.
    When I do they’ll be used for nail products.
