There is something about Christmas Eve that is often synonymous with sleeplessness. This inability to sleep only occurs a handful of times throughout the year (birthdays, first visits to Disneyland/Walt Disney World, the anticipation of the tooth fairy), and despite the exhaustion that sets in from a season filled with excitement and joy, my kids can NEVER sleep on Christmas Eve.
Tradition holds that Santa’s elves sew pajamas stitched with magical thread for girls and boys so that they will get a restful night’s sleep on Christmas Eve. If the bedtime Christmas Eve struggle is real, pick up a pair of character pajamas at your local Walmart along with a copy of The Pajama Elves, and start a new tradition with your kids that will practically guarantee Santa will be able to deliver all of his presents without interruption. This also ensures your kids will be dressed for the occasion come Christmas morning.
We frequented our local Walmart and found an expansive selection of character pjs including Disney’s Frozen and Star Wars. My daughter’s Frozen 2-Piece Sleep Set features warm cozy fabrics and vibrant authentic prints showcasing her favorite character, Elsa. My son’s Star Wars 2-Piece Sleep Set also features cozy fabrics and prints and characters from the latest film, Star Wars: The Force Awakens. The sets are currently on rollback and priced between $8 and $10 which is fantastic, considering the quality and trending styles.
We actually sported these character pjs during our recent trip to Arizona for the Polar Express. Inspired by the classic children’s book, families journey on real trains across the country to the North Pole as they re-live this poignant story that reminds us to believe in the magic of Christmas. This has become an annual tradition in our family, and just like the little boy in the book, we climb aboard outfitted in our brand new Christmas pjs for an evening inspired by the Polar Express.
Whether you’re looking to start a new tradition, continue traditions you hold dear, or looking for a meaningful gift that your child will enjoy, visit Walmart for Christmas pajamas that will keep you warm through the season.
