It seems like overnight, the holiday season was upon us. This truly is my favorite time of year and one where we make many memories as a family. Every year, we don jackets and gloves and head over to Irvine Park Railroad for their annual Christmas Train. The historic park transforms into Santa’s Village and the train takes families to the North Pole to meet with Santa Claus.
This year, tickets for the Christmas Train will only be sold online, and since many nights will sell out, I recommend securing them early. Here is just a sneak peek of the activities in store this holiday season at Irvine Park Railroad:
Story time with Mrs. Claus
Christmas Cookie Decorating
Christmas Carnival Games
Christmas Coloring Corner
A ride on the Christmas Train includes a visit with Santa for photos and children are welcome to share their wish list. Snacks and refreshments are available for purchase including a cup of hot chocolate which my kids love to warm up with.
Despite the warmth of the season, I recommend bundling up as the park can get cold at night. Bring a camera, dress for the occasion, particularly if you want to use the photos for Christmas cards, and plan to spend a few hours at the park enjoying the festivities.
The Christmas Train begins taking passengers to the North Pole the weekend of November 29th and 30th and runs on select dates through December. Tickets are just $10 and available for purchase online now.
Win It! One of you will win 4 tickets to the Christmas Train (can be used any time during the season), 6 Christmas Train Activity Tickets and 1 Wheel of Fun Rentals at Irvine Park Deuce Coupe Bike Rental. Simply complete the Rafflecopter form and leave me a comment with your favorite memory of Irvine Park. Comments will close on November 22nd, 2013 at 11:59 PM PST.

So many sweet memories made there! I think one of my favorite memories was when I took my son on his first visit there. I can still remember him standing at the gate, waiting for the train to arrive. He was only a little over one, and he was wide eyed, taking it all in. :o)

Our favorite memory is taking photos with all the cutouts at the pumpkin patch. We’ve never been at Christmas time. It sounds wonderful!
