As a young girl, I always anticipated receiving pajamas for Christmas and it became a tradition in our home to gift them to every member of our family. Continuing that tradition, each year I like to pick up at least one new set for each child to wear Christmas morning because around this time, they’ve typically outgrown or outworn what they have. New PJs also make for adorable Christmas morning photos! Since you can never own too many pairs of PJs, I perused my local Walmart for some character-inspired pieces and found a TON of amazing deals on kid-favorites including Disney Frozen and Skylanders.
Like many little girls, my daughter’s wish list includes a generous array of Disney Frozen toys, books, and apparel. Fortunately, this year Walmart anticipated the popularity of Anna and Elsa and stocked their shelves in advance of the holiday shopping season. I was able to pick up an adorable Frozen Short Sleeve Tee and Pant Pajama set for just under $12! Our winters are never cold enough to warrant heavy fabrics and since my daughter always likes to be “cool” at night, I thought this set would be perfect for her. The short sleeve top features Anna and Elsa while the pants include a Frozen-esque pattern. The PJ set doesn’t have any buttons which makes it easy for even young children like my daughter to dress herself. And since these PJs features soft polyester fabrics, my daughter can sleep cool and comfortably.
Last year, Disney Infinity was the “it” item for my son and while he still asks for constant additions to his character collection, his devotion is now divided with the launch of Skylanders Trap Team. When I found a cozy set of Skylanders Micro Jersey Pajamas in the boys’ section, I knew that he would be thrilled! This Micro Jersey set is idea for winter since it includes a cozy, fleece-like pullover top. Like my daughter’s PJs, this set doesn’t have any buttons or closures, making it easy for my son to dress himself.
Both of my kids frequently have pajama day at their respective schools, so having a few pairs of comfortable PJs featuring their favorite characters garners excitement for those special days.
Right now, Walmart has a wide array of licensed PJ sets on sale, rollback, and/or clearance. These sets make a fun, affordable gift or stocking stuffer for kids.
