The months leading up to Christmas are filled with much anticipation and excitement.  Beyond the toys and gifts, my children enjoy all aspects of the season…from decorating our tree to baking cookies and decorating Gingerbread Houses. Earlier this week, my children asked us how long it would be until we celebrated Christmas again. They’re already eagerly anticipating the much-awaited holiday, making lists and plans for our elf.

Many families continue to celebrate the joy of the season through cultural traditions such as Día de los Reyes (aka Three Kings’ Day).  Celebrated on January 6th, it’s often deemed the last day of the Christmas season (ending the 12 days of Christmas). Historically, this is the day the Magi visited and presented gifts to Baby Jesus, thus, in many Hispanic cultures, children receive gifts on this day. Parades, festivals, and family gatherings typically characterize this day.

My sister uses hers all the time to keep in touch with the family, listen and read the Bible and use Bible-related applications, and keep all her family’s agendas and schedules organized!
