As soon as I hear my children giggling uncontrollably, I know exactly which app they have running. With over 400 million downloads, Disney’s Talking Friends have become a global phenomenon, the most notable being Talking Tom. Introduced in 2009, the Talking Friends apps offer children real-time interaction with adorable characters that imitate and respond.
This month, we celebrate the latest animal friend to join the Talking Friends…Talking Ginger! This new app is the first one in the series to teach and inspire children towards healthy habits. Ginger is an adorable kitten getting ready for bed.
Through the app, children can help Ginger get ready bathing him, brushing his teeth, and helping him go potty.
As children help Ginger through these healthy bedtime routines, they can earn in-app prizes.
In this particular app, there are 50 dreams to unlock which are depicted in the form of hand-drawn puzzles. Every time a sequence is completed, children will get a new piece of the puzzle.
The app is adorable and children can interact with Ginger as they do with their favorite Talking Friends by tickling, poking, or petting him.
Last year, the brand introduced the Talking Friends Superstar plush toy line, which seamlessly integrates with the apps and other friends in the line. Each toy is a mirror image of its character and features funny jokes and riddles and catchy music. Ginger is absolutely adorable and lovable and while my kids enjoy engaging with him via the app, the experience is definitely more engaging with the plush.
To celebrate Ginger’s birthday, the brand is launching a brand new app! Leading up to the launch, you can send Ginger a birthday card and email it to [email protected] by May 5th, 2013 for your chance to win a Talking Ginger Superstar toy!
Ginger’s Birthday app is set in Talking Tom’s backyard where Ginger is enjoying his big day with good food, party whistles, candles, and more. When you feed him, make some noise with the party whistle and blow all the candles out to unlock a new puzzle piece of Ginger’s birthday party memories.
