If you’re looking for something to do with your little ones on vacation this coming Monday, Pretend City Children’s Museum in Irvine, California will host an interactive, educational event to celebrate the life and work of Martin Luther King Jr. This is a wonderful way to introduce children to the legacy of Dr. King and his messages of love, peace, and tolerance through hands on activities. Here are the details for Monday’s event:
What: Martin Luther King Jr. Day
When: Monday, January 21st, 2013 from 10 am to 3 pm
Where: Pretend City Children’s Museum, 29 Hubble, Irvine, CA 92618
Morning Activity: Children will create a wreath of hands to celebrate the similarities and differences of various cultures
Afternoon Activity: Children will write or draw pictures of their dreams on clouds which will be added to Dr. King’s Dream Birthday Cake and then be displayed throughout the week.
Stay tuned for my recap next week of this inspirational event.
