For weeks, my kids have been talking about the items they’re hoping Santa will leave under the tree this Christmas. They’ve “made their lists” and now anxiously count down the days until that much-anticipated magical morning. In previous years, we’ve made physical lists that we then “send” to Santa. But this year, we did something very cool with our Christmas Wish Lists…we sent them directly to Santa’s Workshop in the North Pole using Canon’s PIXMA printer with Cloud technology!
Canon has been innovating the world of digital photography and imaging solutions for over 75 years, and their latest cutting edge technology include a line of Canon PIXMA printers that allow you to print photos and documents from cloud services including Facebook, Twitter, Flickr, Dropbox, Photobucket, Google Drive, Microsoft OneDrive and Evernote. Download the free PPS app to print images and documents on your smart phone or tablet, check your printer’s settings, scan documents, and more without every having to be near a computer. One of the most unique features of Canon’s PIXMA printers is the ability to touch your mobile device to the printer to print photos and documents using the PPS app.
Given my passion for photography, I’m particularly excited about the ability to take a photo using Canon’s EOS 70D Digital SLR or PowerShot N Facebook ready Digital Camera to send photos directly to the printer. I don’t print out half of the photos I take because of the time involved so this is a great way to quickly print and then organize memories into collages, photo books or other keepsakes.
To showcase this new technology in the spirit and magic of Christmas, Canon launched the North Pole PIXMA app.
Parents and children can use the app to create wish lists that will be sent directly to Santa’s workshop in the North Pole and then printed on Canon’s PIXMA printer with Cloud technology.
Creating lists with my kids was easy and they absolutely loved seeing it being sent to Santa’s Workshop. We created a very simple text list but you can get creative and elaborate by using pre-selected images or even drawing your own to truly personalize your wish lists.
