Butterbean’s Cafe: Let’s Get Cooking – Strawberry Lemonade Recipe

Posted by Caryn Bailey Leave a Comment

My baking ventures began with a box of Jiffy Corn Muffin Mix. From there I advanced to Duncan Hines brownies and Pillsbury cakes and thus was born a passion for baking and cooking. I grew up in a family where eating out was a luxury, and thus spent many hours in the kitchen with my parents, gleaning culinary tips as they cooked and baked dishes from scratch. My kids have followed suit, spending numerous hours alongside me as I cooked and prepared meals for our family. My daughter has taken a particular interest in baking, and one of her new favorite cooking shows is Butterbean’s Cafe.

Butterbean’s Cafe

Butterbean’s Cafe follows Butterbean, a fairy who runs a neighborhood cafe with her friends. The series features creative cooking, a farm-to-table approach, and a curriculum that focuses on leadership. With her fairy friends, Butterbean uses teamwork to run the cafe while preparing healthy snacks and treats for the residents of Puddlebrook. The show highlights creative cooking and teaches children the importance of kindness and gratitude. The show is highly rated and popular among young girls.

Butterbeans Cafe Characters

Butterbean’s Cafe: Let’s Get Cooking is now available on DVD and includes eight episodes and four kid-friendly recipes inspired by the show. This is a great series for families to watch as they share the joys of cooking together. Episodes on the DVD include Butterbean outdoing Ms. Marmalady with her yummy parfaits and tasty quiche; assisting Cricket with her first menu as she learns to pipe icing on cupcakes; seeing Dazzle run the café herself and switch jobs with Poppy; bakin a little magic with Jasper, and helping the Bean Team find Cookie the cat.

The recipe is easy enough for young kids to assist with and the results are delightfully refreshing. Be sure to pick up your copy of Butterbean’s Cafe: Let’s Get Cooking and inspire a love for cooking with your kids.
