Box-O-Box

I couldn’t wait to go “away” to college when I was a teenager.  All I wanted to do was “grow up” and move away from mommy and daddy (and now all I want to do is stay young!).  So I moved up to Santa Barbara from Los Angeles and lived in a dorm like all of the other teenagers searching for freedom.  Do you know that I came home almost every weekend?  I was that homesick!  My mom would send me these “care packages” filled with my favorite snacks, books, etc. to help with the homesickness. It was so sweet and something I looked forward to.  It helped for those weeks that I wasn’t able to come home.

I just received the ultimate care package to review from Box-O-Box! The company creates the most amazing care packages…and I’m not surprised since it was started by former students who were tired of mediocre care packages.  Here is a little more information about Box-O-Box from the site:

Box-O-Box allows you to send your college student the most hip, unique and fun care packages, right to his/her door.  Box-O-Box gives you a simple way to help motivate and support your hard-working student throughout the entire school year.  Our care packages are specialized for exam time, holiday time, birthday time or anytime!

boxoboxThere are currently 17 different Box-O-Boxes that you can choose from and I know for a fact they’re planning on adding more.  Some of the box themes include Movie Night, Pamper Yourself, Exam Time, and Birthday.  Each box includes a personalized message from the sender to the recipient and a hilarious “how-to” guide.  The company offers healthier, all-natural options in their Earthy and Healthy boxes and they strive to accommodate special needs (i.e. vegan, wheat-free, dairy-free).  I received the Pamper Yourself box and I didn’t share anything from it with anyone (so selfish, huh?).  When I received the box, I was already excited about it and it wasn’t even open.  That is because the colors are bright and vibrant and it’s packaged perfectly in matching tissue paper.   This is a situation where presentation and packaging are key.  Some of my favorite things in the box include a Burts Bee’s Head To Toe Starter Kit, Yogi Calming Tea, and Yummy Earth’ Organic Lolli Pops.  I can see how special and meaningful a box like this would be from a friend or family member.  I also think that a Box-O-Box makes a perfect gift for someone of any age.  Sometimes we all need a little boost of cheer and this is the perfect way to brighten someone’s day.

You can order a box for your loved one and it will ship within one business day.  Boxes retail from $39.99 to $49.99 and can be purchased on the site.

Profuse thanks to Box-O-Box and the Family Review Network for this review opportunity!

    >>>The company offers healthier, all-natural options in their Earthy and Healthy boxes and they strive to accommodate special needs (i.e. vegan, wheat-free, dairy-free).<<< Great that they offer vegan and wheat and dairy free alternatives! Yay for them!

Funny story…I am a vegetarian for 20 years, and my daughter *was* a vegetarian since she was 6! I sent her off to college last August, and by Thanksgiving she was eating Turkey! hahahhah
