The new year is in full swing which means we’re about to become immersed in homework, sports, and the general busyness of the school year. During the week, our schedule is set and there isn’t much freedom to “play,” which is why I’m always looking for activities to share with my kids come the weekend.
One of our family’s favorite day trips is a visit to the LEGOLAND California Resort! Both of my kids are LEGO enthusiasts, so a visit often includes building and expressing their creativity along with being amused and entertained. We have visited the resort a number of times and still haven’t managed to see and do everything, and with the resort constantly adding new rides and attractions, I’m always looking for ways to save on day and weekend trips to LEGOLAND!
If you’re a Southern California resident and you plan to visit the resort several times throughout the year, you’ll likely find one of the resort’s three membership plans to offer the greatest value. Each membership includes 1 year of unlimited admission to LEGOLAND California and you can upgrade to either the standard or premium membership if you prefer unlimited admission to LEGOLAND Water Park and SEA LIFE Aquarium plus free parking and dining/retail discounts.
If your time at the resort is limited, here are 5 of the best LEGOLAND California Resort Discounts available right now:
1. Through February 27th, 2015, Denny’s is offering a coupon for free admission to anyone who dines at the venue will receive a coupon for a free kid’s ticket to LEGOLAND California Resort with a paid adult ticket (includes hopper admission to LEGOLAND Water Park or SEA LIFE Aquarium).
2. Costco: Your local Costco often sells discounted tickets so I encourage you to check in to see what is currently available. At present, you can purchase a 3-month season pass to LEGOLAND California and SEA LIFE Aquarium for $84.99. This pass offers tremendous value since you have unlimited visits to both the park and the aquarium. Must redeem before May 1st, 2015 to begin the 3 month pass.
3. AAA: Save 10% on LEGOLAND California Resort tickets online or at the gate when you show your AAA membership card. If you visit your local AAA branch, you can save $15 on LEGOLAND California / SEA LIFE Aquarium 1-day hopper tickets with 2nd Day Free (must use within 9 days of the first use). If you’re planning on purchasing a LEGOLAND Standard Membership, I also recommend visiting your local branch since you’ll save $20 on this pass!
4. Twilight Rate: Limited time? A lesser known fact is that you can in fact save 50% off the full price admission when you purchase same-day admission tickets to LEGOLAND California. This rate is not valid for Saturdays in October during the resort’s Brick-Or-Treat Nights.

5. Other Discounts: The resort is incredibly generous about offering discounts to those working in specific travel-related industries (tour operators, travel agents, airline employees) as well as anyone serving in the military.
