The Nintendo 3DS brings a distinctly unique flair to hand held gaming. I look at my son as he wards off “bad guys” and it feels like I’m looking down on my 8-year-old self. I was drawn to video games the way my son is, and every now and then you’ll see us throw down a game of Super Mario Bros. U on the Wii U. My kids, however, prefer handheld gaming systems like the Nintendo 3DS. In fact, both of my kids had the system with a handful of their favorite games, on their wish lists.

Regularly priced at just under $150, Nintendo is dropping the price on the New Nintendo 3DS Super Mario Edition in Black and White to just $99.99. The new system features Mushroom Kingdom detail and is compact enough to game on-the-go without compromising in technology. Features include stable, 3D technology, fast processing speeds, built-in entertainment options and amigo support. You can also change the cover plates on the 3DS for your desired look.

It should be noted that this particular 3DS does not come with a game or a charger so you might want to include these 2 items with your purchase. As far as game options, Pokémon Sun, Pokémon Moon, and Mario Party Star Rush have all been released in the last couple of weeks and are widely popular with kids. While these games won’t likely go on sale for Black Friday, Walmart and Target are offering up to $15 on select Nintendo 3DS games.
