Last month, I told you about Eggland’s Best’s commitment to support Susan G. Komen for the Cure by stamping the organization’s pink ribbon and a pink EB stamp on all eggs during the fall of 2010. I recently invited some friends over to learn more about Eggland’s Best and their efforts. I baked some treats and we got together for a girl’s night in.
Here is some of the information I shared with the gals:
Women’s Health Magazine listed Eggland’s Best eggs as #1 in the Dairy Category for Best Packaged Foods
Eggland’s Best eggs provide a natural source of Omega-3, and other necessary nutrition elements, such as vitamin A, D, E, B2 & B12
Eggland’s Best eggs contain 25% less saturated fat and 19% less cholesterol than regular eggs
Eggland’s Best will donate $50,000 to support Komen for the Cure to help save lives and end breast cancer
One of the gals discussed how she lost a family member to breast cancer and we talked about the importance of monthly self breast exams, annual clinical exams, and mammograms (after age 40)
Some of the girls shared stories of family members who had breast cancer scares and we all agreed to remind each other of the importance of being aware and taking action.
Through this campaign, I’ve become increasingly aware of how important it is to be informed about breast cancer. I’m honored to have partnered with a company like Eggland’s Best, who supports breast cancer research and awareness.
