All About Baby: ShooShoos

Posted by Caryn Bailey 2 Comments

Yesterday I wanted to jump up and down and do a little dance.  32 weeks without any major problems and I feel like we’re counting down!  In 8 weeks (and as few as 6) we will meet our precious baby girl.  The little girl I’ve been dreaming about since I was a little girl.  Will she have dark curly hair and big brown eyes like my son?  Will she love to sing and read books just like my son?  I can’t wait.

And being that I just love everything pertaining to girls, I was very excited to receive a pair of Soft Leather Shoes with Light Flexi Rubber Soles from ShooShoos.  While I’m not a huge fan of shoes that don’t serve a purpose (like the ones you put on infants), I think that children should have durable, flexible, supportive shoes when they start to walk. And if they look cute, then that is an added bonus.

The company offers parents quality baby and toddler shoes (up to the age of 2 1/2).  All of the leathers used by the company are 100% safe and non-toxic.  I had the opportunity to choose a pair to review and I knew I wanted my little girl to wear black Mary Jane (ish) shoes, just like her mother used to wear.  The shoes are simply adorable.  If I hold them up close, I can catch a hint of pure leather.  The shoes feature an elasticized ankle (something I haven’t seen in a child’s shoe yet) and a light, flexible, non-slip sole.  When children begin to walk, they are not steady.  It’s important to me that a shoe be sturdy, flexible, and supportive.  Because most toddlers can’t tie their own shoes, the velcro strap makes it easy for them to take on and off.

If you’ve ever shopped for children’s shoes, then you know they can be pricey.  Most of the shoes on the site run between $15 and $25.  And, I’m impressed with the sheer number of styles they have…for girls AND boys!  For more information, including a special clearance section, visit their site.

My little one has shooshoos too and he loves them! He is so comfortable walking with them and we have no trouble putting them on and taking them off. Plus they take up hardly any space.
