Over the weekend, the vibrant musical sequel to Rio premiered in Miami complete with Samba Dancers and live Parrots, like the ones voiced by actors Jesse Eisenberg and Anne Hathaway. Rio 2 debuts in theaters April 11th, and after gleaning a first look at the 3D animated film, we’re excited to join Blu and Jewel on their next adventure.
Rio 2 reunites the original film’s cast in a musical adventure that takes the infamous and rare Spix’s Macaws deep into the Amazon to explore their Brazilian heritage. When Jewel, Blu, and their three children leave the comforts of Rio for their journey, they encounter Jewel’s long-lost father along with a troupe of new and interesting characters born into the wild. They soon learn that the Amazonian habitat is under threat and Nigel the cockatoo is back for revenge.
In anticipation of the film’s release, I have partnered to offer 10 families the opportunity to screen the film before it’s release. Here are the details for the April 8th, pre-release screening of Rio 2:
