I grew up watching the classics. Gone With the Wind, The Sound of Music, and Breakfast at Tiffany’s became my all-time favs. Just last night hubby and I were talking about going to a movie since we have free babysitting at nana and papa’s and we could not find a single movie out in the theaters that interested us. They just don’t make them like they used to!
That is why I am excited about A Plumm Summer, a new independent film set to be released April 25 that is sure to captivate the entire family. [From their website] The innocence of an idyllic small town is torn apart when famous TV puppet ‘Froggy Doo’ is kidnapped and held for ransom. A Plumm Summer tells the remarkable true tale of two young brothers, Elliott and Rocky Plumm, who go head to head with the FBI in order to crack the ‘frog-napping’ case and get their beloved Froggy Doo back on the air, all the while becoming local heroes and best friends.
Featuring Henry Winkler, Billy Baldwin, Jeff Daniels, and Brenda Strong from Desperate Housewives, A Plumm Summer is an endearing family film. Winner of the Audience Best Film Award at the International Family Film Festival, A Plumm Summer is based on a true story and combines action, comedy, and sweetness.
A Plumm Summer opens the weekend of April 25, 26, 27 in the following areas:
· California: LA and surrounding areas including the OC, Ventura County, and Riverside County
· Alabama: Birmingham, Trussville, and Alabaster
· Minnesota: Oakdale, Lakeville, Eagan, Eden Prairie, Coon Rapids, and Inver Grove Heights
· Montana: Billings, Bozeman, Kalispel, Livingston and Missoula
