We have just spent the last few days at one of the most beautiful places on Earth…America’s first National Park. Yellowstone is a unique, beautiful location that offers families the opportunity to see incredible wildlife, pristine waterfalls, and some of the most active, geologic wonders in the world. Situated at 8,00 feet above sea level, we knew that it would take some preparation to ensure that we had the energy to explore all of the park’s incredible features. As soon as we landed, we stocked up on healthy snacks, including Yoplait’s original single-serve yogurt.

During our time in Yellowstone, we took the advice of those who have gone before us and borrowed a bear-safe cooler so that we could eat lunches and snacks while exploring the park. Dry ice is actually ideal for keeping items cool for long periods of time, and this is how we ensured all of our food items were cold, including my kids’ favorite Yoplait yogurt. Alternatively, you could freeze your kids’ favorite variety of Yoplait yogurt and enjoy it during your first mid-morning hike.

The best types of snacks for hiking are those that can easily be packed in a backpack. Each day we packed up the kids’ backpacks with a cold pack and their favorite variety of Yoplait yogurt for our hikes throughout the park. Yoplait yogurt is our snack of choice because it is an excellent source of calcium, Vitamin A, and Vitamin D, nutrients we absolutely needed for our hikes. The live, active cultures are wonderful for gut health and Yoplait is committed to offering yogurt made with real fruit and free from artificial flavors, colors, and high fructose corn syrup.

Yoplait yogurt is great for snacking on the go. I appreciate the quick fuel and energy boost it supplies and my kids absolutely love all of the varieties Yoplait offers. We stopped to explore West Thumb Geyser Basin overlooking Yellowstone Lake and decided that it was the perfect spot to take a break and enjoy the pristine views. And, we felt like this short break allowed us to take in the beauty of this place while refueling for our next adventure.

Yoplait offers several yogurt snack options for adults and kids of all ages. In addition to their single-serve cups, my kids really like their Go-GURT varieties and they taste great when you freeze them and they are just starting to melt.
