Mac and Cheese is our family’s go-to meal when we want comfort food or something quick and easy to prepare. I have made Mac and Cheese from scratch, ordered it as a meal for us at local restaurants, and even resorted to boxed varieties in a pinch. So while I don’t necessarily expect Mac and Cheese to be healthy, I was intrigued by GOODLES Mac and Cheese, a better-for-you version of our favorite comfort food. Endorsed by Wonder Woman Gal Gadot, the three of us could not wait to become Mac and Cheese taste testers!

GOODLES

GOODLES began with the idea of creating a super nutritious noodle that looks, cooks, and tastes like the noodles you love. The very first thing I noticed when I prepared our first box was that the noodles cooked well…they were soft but not mushy and maintained their shape and texture after adding the cheese mixture, milk, and butter. Success!

What began as an initial taste test before serving GOODLES to my kids ended up with me eating an entire serving right out of the pot. It’s seriously good and I can feel good about serving this mac and cheese to my kids because each serving contains 14 grams of protein, 6 grams of fiber and is packed with 21 nutrients from organic plants. I honestly don’t know how the brand manages to pack all of that in and still have an incredible tasting product but I am currently working on our first online order since our stash is gone!

When I was pregnant with my son, I ate boxed Mac and Cheese every single day thanks to my friend, morning sickness. I am certain that Mac and Cheese was filled with artificial colors and ingredients, and in retrospect, I would have loved to have a plant-based option. GOODLES is made with real cheese and free from GMOs, artificial colors, artificial flavors, and preservatives, and absolutely parent and kid-approved. It is also the only mac and cheese to win the coveted Clean Label Purity Award, which evaluates products for substances that would never be found on a product label. This is impressive since GOODLES was compared with products in the same category.

There are four varieties available including Cheddy Mac (which is your traditional cheddar mac and cheese), Mover & Shaker (a savory peppery parm mac and cheese), Shella Good (an aged white cheddar mac and cheese), and Twist My Parm (an Asiago-based mac and cheese). All four varieties are fantastic, but as fans of white cheeses, our favorite is Shella Good.
