If you have spent any time at CHOC Children’s Hospital in Orange County, California, then you have a sense of how unique and special this place is. The distinguished facility provides excellent pediatric care through a combination of clinical expertise, advocacy, outreach, education, and research to improve the health and well-being of children in the community. But what really makes the facility shine is the physicians, nurses, and supporting team members committed to all aspects of pediatric wellness. Additionally, the surrounding community comes together each year in support of the facility with the unified goal of raising funds for health care programs, education, and research. CHOC Walk in the Park celebrates its 28th year, and this year, I will join more than 14,000 people in support of CHOC Children’s Hospital!
CHOC Walk in the Park
CHOC Walk in the Park, held each year at the Disneyland Resort, is the largest pediatric fundraiser in the nation. This year, CHOC Walk will take place at sunrise on August 26, 2018, beginning at Main Street, U.S.A. The walk spans 3 miles (5K) through Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure Park, and features some of your favorite characters and local bands performing throughout both parks. CHOC Walk culminates at Downtown Disney with a sponsor showcase featuring local shops, restaurants, and hospital support groups. Even more impressive than its size is the diversity represented, as 650 teams from Canada, Mexico, Australia, Japan, and more come together to support CHOC Children’s.
