From the moment Santa’s Circus Show at SeaWorld San Diego commenced, my kids and I were captivated by the breathtaking stunts and acrobatics that distinguish this new holiday show. This engaging show recently debuted as part of the park’s holiday celebration and features Santa Claus and everything you love about Christmas. SeaWorld’s annual Christmas Celebration will immerse families in a winter wonderland with an aquatic twist through January 2nd, 2022. 10 Things to Do During Christmas at SeaWorld
As you walk into SeaWorld San Diego, you’re immediately greeted by a beautiful, aquatic-inspired Christmas tree that welcomes you into this winter wonderland. Bundled up in jackets and boots with a cup of hot cocoa, it finally felt like Christmas. While we are no strangers to the park, we were happy to be celebrating the wonder of the season with new shows and experiences. SeaWorld San Diego has come alive this season with an array of festive activities including visits with Santa and your favorite Sesame Street characters, festive food and drinks, shopping, and more.
Enjoy Holiday Brunch With Elmo & Friends: This unique, holiday experience includes an intimate breakfast with Elmo and his friends. After enjoying a breakfast buffet of eggs, bacon, potatoes, oatmeal, and more, join Elmo and his friends as they dance, sing, and greet families for hugs and photos. The Sesame Street Holiday Brunch includes a printed photo of your family with Elmo. Advance reservations are advised. Please note that park admission is not included but is required as part of this holiday upgrade.
Be Amused By Clyde and Seamore’s Christmas Special: This show is our family’s favorite at SeaWorld San Diego. Join lively sea lion pals Clyde and Seamore in this parody of a nighttime television Christmas special. Clyde, Seamore, and their mischievous co-host, OP OTTer, are together again to create a family favorite show filled with laugh-out-loud holiday cheer. Clyde, Seamore, and OP Otter inspire holiday cheer this season in a show that is funny, heartwarming, and filled with some of your favorite Christmas songs. Reserved seating is available for an additional fee.
Help Elmo Find His Christmas Wish: Located in the gorgeous Mission Bay Theater, this brand new show is a joyful celebration of the season with your favorite Sesame Street characters. Join Cookie Monster, Rosita, Grover, and Zoe as they help Elmo find his Christmas wish. Kids can sing and dance to the sounds of Christmas.
Be Mesmerized by Santa’s Circus Show: SeaWorld’s Cirque-inspired shows are a must-see! They employ talented, creative people whose stunts will make your jaw drop. This Christmas-themed show features Santa and his crew as they fuse acrobatics, illusion, and comedy into an experience that showcases everything you love about the season.
Share Your Wishlist and Take a Photo With Santa: This year, you’ll find Santa in his festive cottage located near Explorer’s Cafe & Bar. Share your holiday wishes and take a photo to commemorate your visit. The line opens at 11:30, so be sure to arrive early when lines are the shortest. Alternatively, you can reserve Santa Priority Access and skip the lines. This holiday upgrade includes one 6×8 photo, two 4×6 photos, one acrylic frame, 1 ornament, 4 photo magnets, and a free small reusable bag for $75. This reservation includes a 5-minute photo opportunity for up to six guests with Santa without having to wait in line.
Take a Festive Family Photo: With acres of holiday lights (including the popular and well-loved tunnel of lights featuring over 5,000 lights), a 30-foot Christmas tree, and palm trees lit like candy canes, there is endless photo ops at SeaWorld. Stop for a moment to remember this season and capture it to share with friends and family.
Gnosh on Festive Eat and Treats: Enjoy a variety of delectable treats this season at SeaWorld San Diego. There are three venues showcasing SeaWorld’s seasonal treats including Explorer’s Cafe & Bar, Jingle Bell Square, and Coral Market. Enjoy loaded mac & cheese bowls (seriously amazing), loaded churros, waffle on a stick, and candy-topped hot chocolate.
Experience a SoCal Winter Dusting of Snow: Who says it doesn’t snow in California? At SeaWorld San Diego, anything is possible! Do not miss the nightly snowfall at Jingle Bell Square, located near the Penguin Encounter. Be sure to stay for the nightly lighting of the 30-foot Christmas tree at 5 pm with guest appearances from the North Pole.
Find the Perfect Gift: Shop for a variety of festive gifts including nutcrackers, ornaments, apparel, and more at the Christmas Shoppe in Sesame Street Christmas Village. You can also shop for Rudolph-inspired gifts such as books, plush, ornaments, and accessories at the Holly Jolly Marketplace. Remember that if you are an annual passholder, you can save up to 50%.
Meet the “Most Famous Reindeer of All”: Did you know that SeaWorld San Diego is the only theme park on the West Coast where you can meet Rudolph? Meet “the most famous reindeer of all” and his friends at Rudolph’s Christmastown this season. While here, be sure to meet Bumble, and Yukon, and Clarice (pending schedule and character availability).
