If you have a train-enthused child, you will love the latest Day Out With Thomas Tour rolling into the Orange Empire Railway Museum this Spring. Day Out With Thomas offers families a unique opportunity to ride the classic storybook engine Thomas the Tank at heritage railroads across the country.
A Day Out with Thomas the Tank Engine
My kids grew up watching Thomas the Tank Engine, reading all about his adventures and reliving those special moments through imaginative play. Thomas the Tank Engine is based on The Railways Series of classic stories by a father who loved trains and wanted to share that experience with his son. Thomas inspires kids to explore and share those exciting ventures with friends.
A Day Out With Thomas includes a ride with Thomas the Tank Engine, the opportunity to meet Sir Topham Hatt and Percy, and an imagination station with authentic engines.
This year’s theme is big adventures and events will feature adventure-inspired activities including photo opps, crafts, and an activity where kids collect passport stamps to receive a special prize upon completion.
Here is what you can expect this year at Day Out With Thomas: The Frienship Tour at the Orange County Empire Railway Museum.
- A 25-minute (approximate) ride with Thomas and/or Percy
- Interactive story time and photo opportunity with talking Percy engine
- A Meet & Greet with Sir Topham Hatt, Controller of the Railway
- A Thomas & Friends Imagination Station including Thomas & Friends temporary tattoos, Thomas & Friends train tables and building activities
- Thomas & Friends-themed activities including crafts, photo ops, giveaways, and more
- Storytelling, video viewing, live music and entertainment
- Petting zoo and bounce houses
- Thomas & Friends gift store
- Street car and trolley rides

Dates: April 7-8 and 14-15, 9 am to 4 pm

Tickets: Prices start at $17 for adults and children ages 2 and older. Tickets can be purchased via phone (866.468.7630) or online.
Arrival: Please be sure to arrive no later than one hour prior to departure

My nephew absolutely loves Thomas the Train. I would love to gift this to him. Thanks for the opportunity to win this giveaway.
My nephew is a huge fan of Thomas and his friends. He is just developing his expressive language and we use Thomas train sets to practice his language. He has learned lots of vocabulary because he hears us talking about the pieces. He also is expected to request pieces of the tracks and trains. He has learned the names of Thomas’s friends too. I’d love for him to enjoy this day with his sisters.
I would like to go because my children would really enjoy this and it would be a fun experience.
