I’m a very busy lady. I’ve got a husband, a toddler, a house, a dog, and a job. Oh and a blog! My to-do list on any given day is enough to make anyone’s head spin. But then there are those unwritten things I want and need to do. This list (just like my written to-do lists) is constantly changing. These are my dreams…my hopes…my aspirations… I may not accomplish all of them. But a girl can dream right?
1. Take a world cruise with my husband when the kids grow up and have their own families.
2. Take our children to Disney World and maybe on a Disney Cruise.
3. Worship with over 20,000 others at Hillsong Church in Australia. Doesn’t their women’s Colour Your World Conference sound amazing?
4. Take a photography class (and buy a DSLR camera)
5. Write a children’s book (yes…it’s been this childhood dream of mine)
6. Attend the Winter Olympics
7. Design and build our dream home
8. Spend Christmas in Hawaii
9. Drive across the country
10. Dance (again)
11. Plant a garden of fruits and vegetables
12. Watch my children get married
13. Learn to speak French (again…and actually learn it)
14. Be on a reality TV show
15. Go to Jerusalem
16. Serve with my husband in Haiti
17. Adopt a child in need of a home
18. Open a tea room
What’s on your “to-do” list? What are you hopes and dreams? I’d love to know!
My husband took this picture on our honeymoon. I’ve changed a lot since then… But I love how he captured me…

I actually have two children’s book manuscripts completely finished, but I haven’t yet worked up the courage send them out to publishers and agents. That’s the hardest part, in my opinion!
I want to see the Grand Canyon, Hawaii, go on a very touristy Sasquatch hunting expedition with my son, and open a homey cafe. Maybe someday, I can do all these things. Oh, and I also want at least one more baby, but my husband and I don’t see eye-to-eye on that issue…

despite the vast difference in our ages, I was surprised at how many things on my list were the same as yours! Thanks, you gave me something to think about, something I hadn’t thought about in a long time. I too, want to write a childrens book, for my Grandchildren mostly, I just haven’t taken the time for it or so many things that I could actually do. As far as Christmas in a warm part of the world, I live in FL & it’s not what it cracked up to be. BUT we always want what we don’t have…….oh boy, like I said, you gave me a lot to think about…………….Thanks again.

What a fab list, I have some of the same on my list: numbers 1, 4 (have the camera), 7, 8, 11 (at least one that will grow – I’ve tried & tried), 12, 13 (then go visit some friend just outside Paris who own a B&B), and I used to want to do #17, but The Hubs and I are getting too old and I’m not healthy enough anymore, so now I donate to women’s shelters as much as I can.
Sounds like you have a WONDERFUL heart! You are an amazing woman, keep on striving and I am sure you will be blessed enough to accomplish many of your wishes.

My to-do list:
1) Be in a place financially where I can take my kids, their spouses, and my grandchildren to Disney World once a year, my treat.
2) Buy a SLR camera.
3) Have a house I really love.
4) Own a ’73 Mustang Fastback with a 351 Cleveland engine. Preferably red with black racing stripes.
5)Stop working outside the home.

We have a lot in common, Caryn! {No wonder we’re friends}. 🙂
I totally want to take a photography class and I have a sketch of our “dream house” on the notepad sitting next to me. And I’d love to dance again and garden and watch my children get married.
But I definitely DON’T want to be on a reality TV show. That one is not on my list. I prefer the quietude of my life – every day moments in my pajamas, doing silly things with my girls, knowing that no one is watching. 😉
