Paul Blart - Home Theater

Make Movie Night Better with a Home Theater

Every Friday night is movie night at our house, the perfect end to a busy, sports and homework-filled week. We’re serious movie buffs, and while we enjoy the opportunity to see a film when it opens in theaters, the cost is often prohibitive. And at then end of a long week, it isn’t uncommon for one of us to end up falling asleep! If you love see movies together as a family, why not turn your living room into a home theater?

Epson Home Cinema - Home Theater

  1. Set up your screen: Epson recently released the ultra-bright Epson Home Cinema Projector at Best Buy for at-home viewing of films, sporting events, or streaming of your favorite shows. Available at Best Buy, the ultra-bright Epson Home Cinema 11400 is lightweight and portable, making it easy to take into any room of your home.My number one complaint with projectors has been the quality of the image. The Epson Ultra Bright Home Theater Projector features 4400 lumens of color brightness to achieve a rich full HD image up to 25 feet irrespective of the lighting in space. The projector’s 1080 p resolution and 3LCD, 3-chip technology results in a vibrant, detailed image. The versatility of Epson’s new Home Cinema means you can project audio and video from a laptop computer via a USB connection or connect a computer, cable box or gaming console via one of two HDMI inputs. You can also stream from your favorite device (including Chromecast) using MHL capability.
  2. Establish the mood: One you’ve set up your screen, you’ll want to dim the lights and find a cozy spot for your family to watch the film. I like our living room couch, but bean bag chairs could also work. Be sure to have a convenient area to store your favorite movie snacks. Remember to dim the lights and position the projector so that it creates an image size reflective of that in a movie theater.
  3. Don’t forget the snacks: Your at-home movie night isn’t complete without homemade popcorn, artisan sodas and a few sweet treats. I also like to bake a few pizzas ahead of time to enjoy with them movie.

How do you create movie night at home?
