My kids are as fascinated with all things extraterrestrial and when they began seeing previews for Relativity Media’s found footage film Earth to Echo, they couldn’t wait to follow the adventures of inseparable friends Tuck, Munch, and Alex. Earth to Echo is uniquely told through the lens of this trio who discover something so extraordinary, it’s out of this world.
We are in the midst of moving, and I can only imagine how difficult that would be if we were transitioning to a completely new community. The people who surround your home become cherished friends…family even. And despite their age, Tuck, Munch, and Alex know that the destruction of their community signals the end of a life chapter.
It’s their last week together, and when Alex’s phone begins displaying unusual electronic signals, they venture to discover the source. When they finally meet Echo (the most adorable alien we’ve ever seen), they purport to help Echo get back to his home planet. Filled with adventure, excitement, and bravery, this trio of friends find themselves united by Echo in ways they never imagined, forever changing their lives.
Now available on Blu-ray and DVD, Earth to Echo will include a host of special features including The Making of Earth to Echo, how the Truck Scene was created, six deleted scenes and what was involved in casting the characters.
In honor of the release of Earth to Echo and the celebration of friendship this movie inspires, here are 5 Creative Ways To Spend Time Outside With Friends:
- Pick Up Games
Start a sports pickup game with neighborhood friends after school to use up some of that energy your kids have been storing up all day in class.
- Bike Rides
Take a cruise around the neighborhood with friends but be sure to wear a helmet. Use your imagination and explore or create your own adventures.
- Hide N’ Seek
A neighborhood game of Hide N’ Seek is the ultimate outside activity. Be sure to use the buddy system when hiding.
- Backyard Campout
Parents, help set up a backyard camp out for your child and his/her friends friends! You can set up a tent, lay down the sleeping bags and help make S’mores while your kids tell stories amid the glow of a flashlight.
- Chalk
It’s amazing what kids can create with chalk. From pictures to games like hopscotch or tick-tac-toe, kids are only limited by their imagination.
How do you inspire your kids to spend time outdoors? Be sure to check out these fun activities after a family movie night featuring Earth to Echo.
