If you’ve been to the Orange County Great Park recently, you’ve likely noticed the continued innovation as the park strives to be “the first great Metropolitan Park of the 21st century.” Along with offering the community a gorgeous open space for families to spend time together, visitors to the Great Park can enjoy rides on Orange County’s sole tethered balloon, a historic, hand-painted carousel, a weekly Farmer’s Market, and an array of special events, classes, workshops and other engaging activities.
This Saturday, October 25th, The Great Park Neighborhoods will present the first-ever Pumpkin Glow. As the first of its kind in Orange County, Pumpkin Glow will bring residents and the community together for an evening of pumpkin carving demonstrations, music, and Fall Family Fun. Featuring thousands of glowing pumpkins carved by the community, Pumpkin Glow will attempt to break the Guinness World Record for the Longest Line of Carved Pumpkins. Pumpkin Glow will be held for one night, so be sure to read more about how you can be involved in this legacy event.
When: Saturday, October 25th, 2014 from 6 pm to 9 pm
Where: Pavilion Park, 194 Compass, Irvine, CA 92618
Cost: Free
Activities include thousands of carved and sculpted pumpkins on display, live carving demonstrations, music, seasonal refreshments, and a Pumpkin Glow sculpture competition where you can vote for your favorite sculpture.
