While our lazy, hazy, fun-filled Summer days have been replaced with the routine of school and sports, I still find this time of year to be one of the most festive, filled with excitement, color, and many opportunities to create a lifetime of memories. All month long I’ll be sharing my favorite Fall and Halloween events, specifically those ideal of the entire family. If your child is as passionate about LEGOs as my son is, you will not want to miss Brick-or-Treat at LEGOLAND California Resort.
Beginning October 4th, families are invited to celebrate Halloween LEGO-style with a not-too-scary bricktastic celebration. Here is a comprehensive guide to visiting Brick-or-Treat at LEGOLAND this year!
Live Entertainment will include the following kid-friendly shows (located at Castle Hill, Miniland USA, and Imagination Zone):
- Mail Order Monsters Show
- Master Ventriloquist Kevin Johnson Returns
- The Witchettes Live
- Art Attack Paint Show
- Monster Fighter Mash
- Hubble Bubble’s Ultimate Dance Off
- Wanda’s Jellyfish Disco at Sea Life Aquarium
- Fireworks (nightly at 9 pm in Miniland USA)
Costume Contests
During each Brick-or-Treat Night, the park will host 3 themed costume contests including best hero, best LEGO-themed, and most creative costumes at the Miniland Stage. Don’t forget to register near the Model Shop 15 minutes prior to each contest.
Hubble Bubble’s Dance Party
Here is where your kids can get their wiggles out while learning a few Boogie MonSTAR Basics. Located in Miniland USA.
Character Meet N Greet
Meet and take a picture with Lord Vampyer and Mummy in the Imagination Zone
Spirits of Brick-or-Treat Light Show
When the sun goes down, head over to the Land of Adventure for a bricktastic, Hallowen-themed light show!
Ghost Cruise Scavenger Hunt
Search for the LEGO ghosts on this Haunted cruise, located in Miniland USA.
Brick-or-Treat Trail
Be sure to visit all 10 treat stations PLUS 2 bonus stations at Sea Life Aquarium. This special trick-or-treat trail will also include a LEGO Legends of CHIMA toy giveaway.
We have celebrated Halloween on many occasions at LEGOLAND and what we love most about this special event is how engaging and safe it is. My kids are avid LEGO fans so the “brick” themes merged with not-too-spooky entertainment makes for an awesome evening!
Brick-Or-Treat Event Details
When: Every Saturday night in October PLUS Friday October 17th and 24th from 5 pm to 9 pm.
Where: LEGOLAND California Resort, One LEGOLAND Drive, Carlsbad, CA 92008
Cost: Ticket prices start at just $30 if purchased online, in advance. It should be noted that admission to SEA LIFE Aquarium is included with Brick-or-Treat Party Night event admission. I encourage you to visit BrickOrTreat.com for special online pricing and packages.
Additionally, every weekend in October, daytime guests to the resort can enjoy trick-or-treating with 3 treat stations at LEGOLAND and one treat station at SEAL LIFE Aquarium.
SEA LIFE Aquarium and LEGOLAND Hotel will join in on the Halloween fun with themed entertainment. At SEA LIFE, don’t miss the daily dive show featuring underwater pumpkin carving, a Halloween puppet show, and daily creepy creature appearances every weekend in October. Guests staying at the LEGOLAND Hotel will enjoy Halloween decorations, nightly entertainment from the Boo Crew’s Dr. Rodney Rathbone and his monster-fighting crew, and Halloween building activities.
