Even as a young girl, my passion for helping people compelled me to volunteer at my local hospital. When I finally ventured off to college and my roommate spoke briefly of the joy and intrinsic sense of fulfillment she felt in the midst of her studies to be an RN, I realized that being a nurse was exactly what I was being called to do. While my career took me in a number of different directions, it was my time in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit that I found myself most effective (and often affective).
As you can imagine, I’ve seen my share of both tragedies and “miracles.” Because technology in medicine is constantly evolving, we still managed to see our share of “miracle” babies…babies born too early or too sick. And organizations like Children’s Miracle Network help increase funds and awareness for local children’s hospitals with the goal of saving and improving as many lives as possible.
Walmart, JOHNSON’S Baby CARES, and Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals have partnered on a new initiative to raise money for babies and children in need. During the month of June, JOHNSON’S Baby CARES will donate $1.00 for every JOHNSON’S Baby product sold at Walmart to benefit Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals across the country.
This Tuesday, join JOHNSON’s Baby, JOHNSON’S Baby CARES, and The Motherhood for a Twitter Party as we talk about this brand new initiative intended to raise money to provide the resources needed for children to thrive and live healthier lives amidst illness. Here are the details for Tuesday’s Twitter Party:
