As challenging as it is to navigate television programs to avoid the mass marketing my children are exposed to, at least I have some control over what they are hearing and seeing. As technology continues to infiltrate schools, I never thought I would have to worry about online advertisements. The reality is that even in school, our children are not necessarily shielded from marketing or inappropriate content, which is why programs like Bing in the Classroom are ESSENTIAL.
Last week, I wrote about how Bing in the Classroom Promotes Digital Literacy and shared the 3 reasons why every school should incorporate it into their classroom. This week, I invite you to join me for a Twitter Party to talk about technology, specifically within schools. We’ll be sharing more information about Bing in the Classroom, which provides free, safe, private search within schools, daily lesson plans to inspire critical thinking, and a rewards program to help you earn tablets for your school.
