Celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month & Chat With Adrienne Bailon

One of the many things I love about living in the US is the diversity of cultures represented. Having spent most of my life living in Los Angeles, I’m used to hearing a variety of languages and seeing people of all different ethnicities on any given day.  Because of the integral role the Latin American community has had in the US, September was deemed National Hispanic Heritage Month.  Cultural celebrations and awareness of these unique contributions are integral to this period of time each year.

In honor of Hispanic Heritage Month, Orgullosa will be hosting a Facebook chat with Adrienne Bailon (who you may recognize from Disney’s The Cheetah Girls.  Bailon will discuss her experience and point of view as a fashionista, TV host, actress, and musician.  She’ll also share how her culture shaped her and provide advice for Latinas aspiring to reach their dreams.

The Orgullosa community empowers Latina women to accomplish their dreams and celebrates where we come from and where we are going.  This month is a wonderful time to explore and recognize our culture and characteristics that make us who we are.

Latinos who were born or raised in the US experience a bicultural phenomenon…their Hispanic roots can never be subdued and yet there are great opportunities and potential for a Latina living in the US.
