If your kids play Disney Club Penguin, then you’ve likely heard about the island-wide parties that occur approximately once a month. Traditionally, the party has a theme and the inside and outside of the buildings on the island reflect that theme.
Inspired by Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope, the force will soon be with Club Penguin. The latest Star Wars Takeover may be the biggest party to date and will feature games, costumes, and weekly challenges inspired by the Star Wars Episode. In this latest installment, Darth Herbert and the Empire want to conquer Penguin Island and the entire galaxy. Members will have to work through challenges to keep the universe safe and defeat the Galactic Empire.
Here is a brief overview of the three upcoming missions tied in to the Club Penguin Star Wars Takeover:
Week 1: This week, players are on the Planet Tatooine where their mission is to defeat the enemy to earn a Stormtrooper helmet
Week 2: Players will venture out to the Death Star to play games that will earn a Rebel helmet
Week 3: In the final week, players will do battle at the Rebel Base. Winners will collect an X-wing pilot helmet
During this event, members can get over 20 costumes including Darth Vader, Chewbacca, C-3P0, Princess Leia or their own X-Wing Fighter, battle with light sabers and earn a chance to become a Jedi Master.
Those who like playing via the iPad app will have the opportunity to pick up an exclusive Boba Fett costume (my son already has it).
