Barbie Is Moving Mobile Tour To Stop In Los Angeles at The Grove

I remember some parts of my childhood with great detail. Like our weekend trips to Malibu so my dad could fish while my mom and I window-shopped, or how my mom and I played Monopoly and Candy Land over and over and over again.  As an only child, I spent a lot of time playing with dolls, particularly Barbie, Ken, and her friends. In fact, I still have a small collection of dolls, clothes, and accessories gently tucked away at my parents home.  My daughter is fully immersed within the world of dolls and she loves for us to play together.

Have you heard?  After 41 years of living in beautiful Malibu, California, Barbie is moving!  Beginning June 1st, Barbie will begin her nationwide tour across the country, stopping in 13 different cities in search of a new place to call home.  The Barbie Is Moving Mobile Tour begins this weekend at The Grove in Los Angeles, California and families can come out to experience Barbie’s dream life.  Some of the highlights of this free event include arts & crafts, face painting, a walk down the fashion runway with photo opportunities, a fashion design area where girls can create and customize their own fashions for their Barbie doll, and a Mega Bloks Barbie play area where girls can design, build, and decorate their own mini Barbie room. During the mobile tour, girls can also enter to win the ultimate bedroom makeover by a Mattel Designer and a brand, new Barbie Dreamhouse.

What: Experience the Ultra-Glam Fashion Runway, Buildin’ and Stylin’ Play Rooms, Arts & Crafts, Face Painting, Giveaways, and more.

When:  Saturday, June 1st, 2013 from 11 am to 3 pm
