I’ve always been a jeans and tank/tee kind of gal. When I worked on the unit, I wore scrubs and had no need for business-type attire. So on those weekend days or evenings when I had to dress up, I did so to a T with dresses, skirts, and slacks. Since my professional wardrobe is much smaller than my casual one, I am always looking to add a few signature, trendy pieces that can be worn beyond the current season.
I’ve never actually worn Chinos, but the moment I slipped these gorgeous Slim Ankle Chino Pants on, I asked myself why I don’t more pairs. Not only are they super comfy, they are incredibly versatile. I’ve worn them on casual days out with my family and to more formal occasions like the last Disney press junket.
When it comes to wardrobe colors, I typically stick with black and white. Even as a teen, my mother would encourage me to broaden my spectrum of colors, so when I showed her the palette of Chinos available, she recommended that I pick a pair in brown or red hues. The Chinos I’m sporting are a gorgeous brown/red hue called Bittersweet. I’ve been wearing them with black tops and tanks, but I imagine they would look good with other colors as well (the model on Lands’ End’s website is wearing them with a blue shirt). Wearing Chinos is all about having fun and changing it up. Color block with bold tops or mix and match several pairs with the shirts you own to create several looks.
Made from a cotton twill fabric, these pants have a bit of stretch and are super comfy. They fit nicely without being baggy (a feature I avoid when I purchase pants). I like how the pants taper towards the ankle, offering a slim-leg style.
As far as sizing is concerned, I recommend checking out the chart they have online and measuring your waist and in-seam as they appear to run a bit big. I actually ordered one size down and the pants fit perfectly.
These pants come in 9 colors and are offered in regular, petite, plus, and petite plus sizes. After looking at all of the colors Lands’ End offers, I’m going to order another pair in Umber or Raisin because I absolutely adore them.

No compensation was received for this post. I received a pair of Chino pants which helped facilitate this review.
