Every year I make a series of resolutions…mainly related to health, fitness, and weight loss. Unlike some resolutions, where something is given up, the choice to eat healthier and maintain a consistent level of activity is something that I constantly have to strive towards. It’s almost too easy to get complacent…to allow an extra few days without exercise…to eat one too many chocolate chip cookies. I attribute every success to the network of friends and family I have surrounding me, because without community and accountability, the chances for success diminish.
And that’s precisely why I love the community Leah Segedie has created at Mamavation. Simply put, it’s a place where moms can support other moms in their health, fitness, and weight loss goals. Leah is an inspiration to myself and many many women in this community, and this weekend, I have the honor of joining her and 19 other bloggers in an intimate, non-conference retreat.
Fitcation will be held this weekend at the gorgeous and luxurious Four Seasons Hotel in Westlake Village, California! I’ve been studying the schedule this week and here are a few highlights of activities I’m looking forward to:
