For women, shoes are the most important. Good shoes take you good places.
― Seo Min Hyun
My husband will tell you that I’m not a women that fancies expensive jewelry or designer handbags. But when it comes to shoes, I have to sport the latest…and plenty of them. In fact, when my husband and I first got married, he had this rule that if I was going to purchase yet another pair of shoes, I’d have to give a pair away.
In my tweens and twenties, style always trumped comfort. As I got older and started spending long hours on my feet as an RN, I realized that comfort, support, and a proper fit would help save my feet and my back. When I shopped with my mother, she would gravitate towards brands like Dr. Scholl’s because she realized how important quality, durable shoes were, but I always associated the brand with shoes designed for the older crowd. So imagine my surprise when I saw these adorable, smart shoes from the brand:
Today’s shoes from Dr. Scholl’s are modern, chic, functional, and on-trend. Can your mother or grandmother wear them? Absolutely! But you won’t feel like you’re sacrificing style for comfort with today’s hip lines. Not only are these shoes good for your feet, you’ll feel (and look) good wearing them.
Dr. Scholl’s has been designing shoes for over 40 years and has innovated this space by offering features that do everything from helping to keep your feet dry to providing support and cushioning for your insole.
Since I’ve been in New York the past few days, I’ve been walking (and sometimes running) in these Jamie Sneakers.
Not only are they incredibly comfortable, they’re sporty and attractive. You can run or walk in them and some of the features I like include the Dri-Lex lining that helps wick away moisture and the Aegis Microbe Shield that helps control odor…both important features for anyone using these shoes for athletic purposes. Right now, these shoes are available on Dr. Scholl’s website for $65…or you can purchase them on Totsy for $38 (which I recommend).
Since most of the shoes I own are open-toed, I thought I’d use the Original 2.0 Sandals for nights on the town. I’m in New York, so inevitably I’m walking everywhere. These flat sandals are stylish enough to be worn with a sundress or a pair of dark jeans. They feature a snap buckle for a secure fit, an anatomical fit insole (for comfort), and are available in a variety of colors and fabrics (I am sporting the red suede version). Regularly priced at $64.99, you can purchase the sandals on Totsy for just $38.
Through August 7th, you’ll save up to 59% on casual, classic, and modern shoes for men and women. And remember that all orders over $75 qualify for free shipping!
