I have to step up and confess something that those closest to me already know…I am a food snob! I haven’t stepped into the likes of a Mc anything since I was a kid. I prefer homecooked meals where I can control the amount of salt, fat, etc. and am able to pronounce all of the ingredients.
Jason and I both have demanding jobs and we often resort to eating dinner when we should be in bed. Pasta is our quick and easy meal of choice. We’ve found ways to pack some nutrition in without compromising taste. Last week I decided to try one of Ragu’s Fresh & Simple Pouches since it was my turn to make dinner. I cooked ground turkey breast (I didn’t even season it!) with some olive oil and then added Ragu’s Garden Vegetable Fresh & Simple pasta pouch. I let it simmer for about 10 minutes while I cooked the whole wheat pasta. In less than 30 minutes dinner was on the table. Add a salad and we had a healthy, complete meal…and it was good! We served our little boy the same meal sans the meat and substituted rice pasta. He ate the entire bowl! What I love about Ragu’s Fresh and Simple Pouches is that they are simple and easy…great for nights when we’d rather just eat out. By the way…they’re much cheaper too!
Ragu’s Fresh & Simple Pouches are all-natural (I promise I could read and recognize every ingredient listed), low in sodium and free of sugar, preservatives, and artificial ingredients.
