“Preparense para el Sol” Summer Safety Twitter Party

Can you feel it?  Summer is almost here! We’re loving the warmer weather and longer days and can’t wait for beach days and play dates and the mini-vacations we have planned.

A few weeks ago, I had an opportunity to work with Transitions to test out their adaptive lenses, which when exposed to sunlight, darken and preserve eye health by blocking 100 percent of harmful UVA and UVB rays. This Wednesday, May 16th, Latina Mom Bloggers is hosting a “Preparense para el Sol” Summer Safety Twitter Party where we’ll be talking about all things summer including safety and the importance of taking care of our eyes all year long.

You may remember that I talked about the resources Transitions Optical offers via their website.  While it’s important for everyone to take precautions to preserve the eye health, it becomes that much more important for at-risk ethnic groups such as the Hispanic, African American and Asian American populations.
