For the first time in as long as we can remember, my husband and I are on a mini vacation without our kids. With just a long weekend to enjoy the magic at the Walt Disney World Resort, we’re looking for ways to make the most of our short visit. There are a ton of benefits to staying on property, one of which is Extra Magic Hours. Guests staying at one of the Walt Disney World Resort Hotels can enjoy special extended park hours in the mornings and the evenings. You can imagine that this would be an ideal time to check out your favorite rides, or those that tend to have longer wait times.
Each day, one of the 4 parks (Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Disney’s Animal Kingdom, Disney’s Hollywood Studios) will open either 1 hour early or stay open 3 hours later, so guests of the resort hotels can enjoy a bit more time at one of the parks. Disney Water Parks also offer Extra Magic Hours during certain seasons.
To enjoy the extended hours, be sure to show a valid park ticket and Resort ID at the entrance. The hotel can provide specific information on which parks will offer Extra Magic Hours during your stay. You can find more information by visiting their website.
