Thankfully, cold and flu season is packing up and heading out! However, if you have children in day care, preschool, gymnastics, little league, or anywhere else they interact with other children (gasp!), your family may be sick more often than you’d prefer. Education is the key to prevention! (I sound like an infomercial!).
Scholastic has just introduced a new storybook created in partnership with Nice-Pak entitled The Germ-O-Tron. Take your child on an adventure with Cora and Cory as they discover what we health care professionals have known all along…hand hygiene (because handwashing alone wasn’t cutting it) is the first line of defense against germs. Geared towards children aged 5-9, The Germ-O-Tron follows twins Cora and Cory as they discover that germs can be kept at bay even if there is no soap and water. Sing the Jivin’ Hand Wipe song with your kids while they clean their hands with the Sani Hands for Kids antimicrobial wipe sample provided.
Parents…check out the site with your child. You can download coloring pages and watch the Jivin’ Hand Wipe video! You can also request a sample of Sani-Hands for Kids by calling 1-877-SANIKID
P.S. Did you enter my other giveaway?

Wow, I would love to win!! I’ve been a little bit of a freak about teaching my kids about germs 🙂 They know when they are sick not to share toys with their siblings. We constantly work on reminders of covering their mouths & noses when coughing/sneezeing and washing hands after.
Our kids can be heard singing happy birthday to themselves while washing their hands in the bathroom 😀
My son has some developmental delays and is extremely sensitive to anything hot or mildly warm. So we work hard at making the water as warm as he can stand and sing happy birthday TWICE while scrubbing to be sure to wash away germs.

Hi, You have a wonderful site. Yes, I did enter your other contest! I have always stressed hand washing. When they get home from school, after blowing their nose, after using the bathroom, etc. I used to have them sing “Row, Row, Row Your Boat one time through while washing their hands. I saw a doctor on tv who has his children sing it! I also have shoes taken off at any entrance of our home. Not only because of dirt, but because of what we walk on. Thanks,Cindi
