Shapewear became an inevitable part of my wardrobe with the birth of my now 3 year old son. No matter how much weight I lose or how much physical activity I engage in, there is still a reminder that my body has housed two children.
Last fall, I was introduced to The Girls, a fitness brand offering fashionable active wear for women. The company offers three collections, including a Tummy Control line designed to smooth and shape. Here is a brief description of the three collections:
Classic: The line includes pants and tops made with their signature cotton stretch fabric.
Tummy Control: The line includes pants and tops made with their trademarked power mesh system discreetly built into the fabrics.
Fashion: The line includes the latest styles.
I have been living in a pair of the company’s Tummy Control Pants which are not only super comfy, but highly flattering. The company uses a Blue-Tec Control System which is a specific blend of nylon and spandex. The result is a fabric that slims, shapes, and contours in all the right places. The only time I don’t feel the need to wear shapewear is when I’m wearing these pants. And while they’re designed for use during physical activity, I find them to be versatile enough to wear while lounging around the house or doing errands around the neighborhood. The entire tummy control line includes reasonably priced pants, shorts, and tops in a variety of colors and styles.
