5 Reasons to Visit Raging Waters LA

It’s 111 in Orange County and the only place to escape the heat is indoors with the AC on high. Unless you’re 9 years old and anxious to go out and explore the world. Then you seek respite where it’s cool…and wet!

Water Slide

I’ve been cooling off at Raging Waters since I was my kids’ ages, and this summer, you’ll likely find me relaxing poolside sipping a smoothie while my kids brave one of nearly 50 water slides and attractions. Open through September, Raging Waters is one of a few places in Southern California where kids of all ages can have a splashin’ good time with 50 acres of aquatic adventures.

5 Reasons to Visit Raging Waters

Aqua Rocket

  • You’ll experience California’s first hydromagnetic roller coaster. Last summer, Raging Waters introduced Aqua Rocket, an experience that fuses the adrenaline rush of a roller coaster with the thrills of a water ride. Guests ride in a rocket style raft that propels you uphill before dropping you at speeds of up to 30 miles per hour.
  • You can visit daily through Labor Day Weekend. With extended hours up to 7 pm during the height of the Summer, Raging Waters offers families daily splashtastic fun so you can visit when it’s convenient for you.

Yogurtland

  • The food is good.  You don’t typically visit a theme park for the food, and very often the trade-off for a day of thrills is mediocrity that satisfies those hunger cravings in between racing down Neptune’s Fury and catching a wave at Wave Cove. You’ll be surprised at Raging Waters’ diverse food options including organic options at Volcano Beach Cafe as well as gluten-free, vegetarian and vegan options throughout the park. You’ll also find frozen favorites like Jamba Juice, Dippin’ Dots and Yogurtland for refreshing afternoon snacks.

Splash Island Adventure

  • There is a water attraction for everyone. Do you like extreme thrills? Be sure to get your adrenaline rush on Drop Out, one of the tallest vertical drops in the country. At seven stories, you’ll drop in just 4 seconds, reaching speeds of up to 40 miles per hour. Prefer to spend your day enjoying the sun? Grab an inner tube and coast along the quarter mile long Tropical River at Amazon Adventure.
  • It’s more affordable than you think. Whether you visit Raging Waters once this summer or every week until the school bell rings, a day at one of the Top 10 Water Parks in the US has never been more affordable. Right now, you can save $8 on general admission tickets Monday through Friday and $3 on general admission tickets Saturday and Sunday. You’ll enjoy the best value if you visit Tuesdays through August 30th ($29.99). You can also find a number of discounted, multi-day tickets online at RagingWaters.com.

How to Make the Most of Your Visit to Raging Waters

To make the most of your visit at Raging Waters, you might consider an H2Go pass, which will hold your place in line while you’re enjoying one of the park’s other aquatic attractions. You’ll spend more time enjoying the slides without having to wait in line.

Inevitably, you’ll want some downtime to relax and enjoy the warm sun while at Raging Waters. Rather than compete for a chair, you can rent a private shaded cabana for the day. The cabanas vary in size and include chairs and tables. Since the cabanas are available on a first come, first served basis, I highly recommend reserving one online ahead of your visit.

Be sure to book your tickets here using the code “RockinMamaBlog16” to take advantage of our special discounted price.
