4 Weeks To Firmer, Smoother Skin Around the Eyes + Makeup Tips

Getting ready for any trip, regardless of the purpose, is undeniably stressful. The packing and prepping alone is enough to generate more than a few lists. Add in all of the rules and regulations associated with air travel and it can quickly feel overwhelming. No matter how much I prepare the night before, I always find myself going into any trip somewhat sleep-deprived, and that is where I found myself this week. The purpose of this particular trip was business-oriented and the last thing I wanted was to appear tired and haggard on the first day of the trip.

Puffy Eyes Solutions

For the past 4 weeks, I’ve been using Solutions24 Clinical’s Puffy Eyes Corrector Stick to help minimize the puffiness around my eyes. While this might not have been the ideal week to photo document my progress, given my sleep deprivation, I appreciated having a portable product I could easily take with me for spot treatments throughout the day.

A combination of genetics, stress, and sleep deprivation all contribute to the puffiness around my eyes, and it’s a skin care problem I’ll have to work at my entire life. I really like having a solution backed by clinical studies to address the problem at its source. Solutions24 Clinical’s Puffy Eyes Corrector Stick uses protein and extracts to reduce eye puffiness by improving fluid drainage and stimulating collagen production. After using the product for 4 weeks, I have noticed a firming up of that skin and a minimizing of the fine lines around my eyes. I absolutely love how soothing the product is and that particular area, which is highly sensitive, feels hydrated.

Solutions24 Clinical Puffy Eyes Corrector Stick

According to Solutions24 Clinical, using the product for 4 weeks will show a noticeable reduction in the bags and swelling underneath the eyes. After 8 weeks, you should also notice that the skin around the eyes has lifted and tightened and the puffiness should disappear. The product is best used in the morning and at night after washing your face, but can be applied throughout the day over makeup for a bit of a refresh. While the product does feel cool when it is first applied, there is no residual greasiness and I’ve found it easy to apply makeup over the product without any reduction in the effectiveness.

Since I’m hoping for a complete elimination of the puffiness around my eyes, I plan to continue using the Puffy Eyes Corrector Stick for an additional 4 weeks as directed. In addition to this corrector stick, Solutions24 Clinical also offers solutions for dark circles and dark spots, all 3 of which are under $13 at Walmart.

 Conceal Puffy Eyes

So what do you do while you’re waiting for that puffiness around your eyes to disappear? Conceal them with makeup! While I’m not an expert, here are 5 Makeup Tricks to Conceal Eye Puffiness:

1. Fill in Lines. Use your corrector stick to hydrate the skin underneath your eyes and to fill in any lines, providing a blank slate for your concealer.

2. Lighten Up. Use a brush (to avoid applying too much product) to blend in concealer one shade lighter than your foundation. Try to focus on the crease right below the bags under your eyes to fill that area in and minimize the overall appearance of bags and puffiness.

3. Add Shine. Use a bronzer or shimmer powder to set the concealer and brighten the entire area underneath your eyes.

4. Be Careful With Eye Liner and Mascara. The color from both eye liner and mascara has a tendency to migrate underneath the eyes, enhancing, rather than minimizing under-eye puffiness. If possible, line eyes and apply mascara before makeup and concealer.

5. Address Dark Circles. Dark circles underneath the eye will emphasize any existing eye puffiness. You can use Solutions24 Clinical’s Dark Circles Corrector Stick simultaneously if you are challenged by dark circles.
