Confession: I live in jeans…and I like it! Working from home means that I no longer have to don scrubs to work a 12-hour shift in a hospital or iron a suit to run a hospital education department. Comfort is essential, and I often find myself wearing the same wardrobe staples over and over again. These closet must-haves get me through playdates, client meetings, lunch outings with friends and even on-camera interviews. Very often you’ll find items you may have forgotten about that can be refreshed simply by adding a few new staples like graphic tees, boyfriend jeans, or a ponte jacket. During a recent trip to Walmart, I shopped Walmart’s Closet Must-Haves and put together two adorable, affordable outfits and each of the items I purchased can be paired with pieces in my closet to create several different looks. To put these outfits together, here are 4 wardrobe pieces every woman should have in her closet:
Since my preference is always to lean towards a more casual look, I picked up a pair of Faded Glory’s Knit Color Jeggings ($12.44) in a beautiful Cabana Swim blue. More comfortable than jeans, these jeggings feature a spandex/cotton fabric blend that allows for movement and stretches to conform to your body. I paired these jeggings with a simple Arctic White V-Neck Tee for a carefree, casual look. Available in 9 different colors, this 100% cotton tee is ideal for pairing with jeans, shorts, and maxi-skirts. Featuring a shirred waistband and a polyester/rayon/spandex fabric blend, this skirt is ultra-comfy.
