I remember when my mother finally allowed me to wear makeup. She took me to one of the beauty counters at our local department store so I could learn how to apply makeup in order to enhance, rather than try to create beauty. I learned what colors worked well for my skin tone and how to create daytime and nighttime looks. Since we’re in the midst of the holiday season and you’ll likely be attending family get togethers and/or parties, I thought I’d share some of my favorite Holiday Beauty Tips!
1. Moisturize! The key to a flawless complexion is to ensure your skin is hydrated. Mirada Beauty’s NatureBeauty Gel helps protect and rejuvenate skin while diminishing the look of fine lines.
2 Add a touch of shine! Why cover up all of that radiant beauty? I like to use a tinted moisturizer to cover up any blemishes. Allure Makeup Artist Troy Surratt also recommends using a blush brush to dust a powder highlighter over the highest parts of the cheek and the tip of the nose.
3. Accentuate your eyes! Tis’ the season for glitz and glamour. While smoky eyes are definitely a trend that still quite popular, why not update that look with a twist: a metallic smokey eye. You can find a tutorial here.
4. Opt for a natural gloss! With a dramatic eye and a radiant complexion, you won’t necessarily need a bold lip. A neutral gloss can accentuate your eyes while presenting an overall polished, radiant look.
